It’s all go in Pembrokeshire – on land, sea and even
in the air. There are a wide range of activity centres throughout
the county which can help you make the most of your chosen sport,
be it mountain climbing, hiking, coasteering, white water rafting,
kayaking or mountain biking, to less strenuous activities like fishing
or golf. There are plenty of guide
books that are available for those who want to head out on their
own.
Apart from travelling by train or car, there are special
bus services to help you to enjoy your holiday activities and discover
West Wales.
The Puffin Shuttle –
Operates Daily from late May to late September, serving the Pembrokeshire
coast between Milford Haven, via Broad Haven, to St David’s,
this service offers you the opportunity to enjoy a variety of walks;
Catch the bus to Newgale and walk back to St Davids via Solva, or
get a bus to Martin’s Haven where you can take a boat trip
to Skomer Island, or walk onto Broad Haven or Dale.
The Celtic Coaster – Operates
daily during the school summer holidays and serves the St David’s
Peninsula, catch a bus to St Justinian’s and take a boat trip
around Ramsey Island. Go to Whitesands or Porthselau and spend a
day on the golden beaches, from Whitesands walk along the coast
to Solva, then catch the bus back to St Davids, or venture north
to Porthgain, catching the Puffin Shuttle back.

National Park, Pembrokeshire Watersports provides the very best
tuition in paddle, power and sail for everyone. Courses, ranging
from beginner to advanced to instructor level, are programmed throughout
the year at all three of our Watersports Centres. You can choose
the sheltered tranquillity of the Castle Pond where you sail or
canoe in the shadow of Pembroke Castle itself.

The Poppit Rocket
- Operates daily from mid July to late Septemebr, and stops off
along the Pembrokeshire Coast between Fishguard and Cardigan. Catch
the bus to Pwllgwaelod from where you can walk to Newport, then
onto Fishguard. From Moylegrove you can walk the 6.8 miles to Poppit
Sands. The Poppit rocket can also be caught from Carningli and Ffordd
Bedd Morris on Newport Mountain.
The Strumble Shuttle - Serving the
coastal stretch between St.David's and Fishguard, the Strumble Shuttle
can pick up and drop off at a number of points, including Porthgain,
Mathry and Tregwynt. Catch the bus to Treffaser, head to Pwll Deri
which links you up with the coastal path, from where you can walk
north to Goodwick via Strumble Head or South to Porthgain onto St
Davids head and Whitesands. From Abereiddy enjoy the short walk
to the Blue Lagoon.
